Yes, the name of the rose is 'Baby Talk' Smiling Great choice Lilly I tip my hat to you.

A couple of more .. Smiling

Another synonym for 'Gina Lollobrigida' is 'The Children's Rose' ... a 1988 Meilland introduction

'Playmate' bred by Colin Horner and introduced in 2002 is also called 'The Children's Rose'. We don't have this one in our database, so here's a link:

https://www.helpmefind.com/ros...

'Frederic Mistral' was introduced in 1994 by Meilliand in 1994 as 'The Childrens' Rose'

Today is American Indian Citizenship Day and the only rose (with a picture) in our DB with 'Indian' in its name is

(aka PEAperfume, Sweet Perfume, Sweet Senses)

Bit out of season, but it is a lovely rose!

I succumbed to the lure of my work roses. Had to do alot of digging and research to find one big enough and hardy enough.

Update on my new rose. Turns out there were 2 in there!! I have them both planted together for now but I will have to go out there and use an actual shovel instead of a trowel to get them deep enough. If I can find a good spot I might move one somewhere else but may end up just leaving them in there together. Limited on good spots where the gravel dust can't get them.

It fell apart when I took it out of the pot and that's when I realized I had 2. That makes up for the $30 and a good hour or so checking our database on various ones trying to find the right height, zone and color. Took forever to find a rose that met my requirements: at least 4 feet, not yellow, white and preferably not red since all those are in that area, and hardy to at least zone 5. Yeah, I was being picky. Rolling on the floor laughing Had it narrowed down to Beverly, Francis Meilland, and the one I got.

What a nice selection Home Depot is offering! I'm going to be in Lexington tomorrow, think I need to check and see what's in stock there!

My NOID yellow rose is almost at peak bloom! Hurray!
I had to save this guy from a climbing vine a few years ago, I'm so happy to see it doing so much better.

It is doing well. Lovely soft yellow blossoms that go well with the iris. Nice.

My first roses have started blooming and right at the height of the iris season for the first time ever! Hurray!

Today is Love Conquers All Day

(aka JACtwin)

Lots of roses to choose from today, so why not have two?

...and a big Hurray! for Zuzu and Sue for having the 2 most popular images in this week's NGA newsletter! I tip my hat to you.

A bunch of us coworkers tried growing Love a couple years ago. Every single one died and that included at least one person who can stick a rose in the ground and have it worship his feet. We have it again at work but I decided I wasn't messing with a fussy plant again. Hilarious!

Hurray! Hurray! zuzu!!

I am still pushing to get the garden ready for the serious heat that will be here very shortly. Most of the work I am doing should have been completed by the first of May ... oh, well.

I have taken over 300 photos because they are the only roses I will see in my garden for a while ... Smiling , but will only include a couple of bloom photos, now. I'll post more of them later.

I also took a lot of photos of the garden because I am re-working a most of the beds. I'll only include a few here to remind me why I am working so hard.

Here are a couple of shots of the two roses I planted about month too late:
