Jim, I love that you already have a couple of seed offerings up! Way to be on top of things and kick this off early!

Libby I have a few seeds ,
The onions I grew a few packages their not bad ,
The Tithonia seeds I took a finger full and put them on top of soil in the pots , barely covered , like dirty water , they sprouted in numbers ,
Simple seeds . Like turnip greens and I have a can full
An Edible and an attractive bloom to start ,
I want to try a few more plants (seeds) and was seeing what anyone else might like to try
That way I could share some wanted seeds

I agree with Dnd. Jim, you do us proud! I'm hoping to get started early so it's not such a rush. I have time today so I'm going through my list. Wish me luck!

Then there are the seeds I have goofed , The Salvia first time had dried out too much This past swap the Perilla seeds seemed to be no good , Then there is other , The Great white Tomato seeds I have not grown since 2009 , Of four seeds a sprout is up ,

I was thinking about some Echinacea seeds and Rudbeckia seeds to try in a month or so , Have to see if that works out ,

Seeds Two seasons ago Rudbeckia Grandiflora 4 ft tall

I'm not sure what I"ll get seeds from this year. I'm hoping to try collecting wormwood (?) seeds this year, and I know I'll be ordering some packets of different seed types this year (I'm sort of a seed addict) that I"ll be offering, I just haven't decided what yet.

I think it's neat that you're going to grow a highly-grafted pepper tree. I'll be honest, I didn't even know you could graft peppers to a tree! I assumed, being annuals, they would just fade away at the end of the season. I really hope you'll show us pictures! I'm looking forward to seeing it.

No doubt. I'll defo post a pic/vid record! I've learned annual is loosely applied to peppers, determined by the climate. Most die off or are intolerant to cold and freezing temps. If you remove that from the environment pepper plants will grow for years. There are some rocoto peppers (capsicum pubescens) indigenous to the Andes in South America that are way more tolerant of colder temps and can grow for 15 years or more in some cases. JErb, you're going to find that we are all seed addicts! Seriously, I have so many seeds I'm considering getting a dorm fridge to store them but I'm not sure it would be large enough!

I'm attempting to grow lentils for the second time. The wonky weather didn't help (hot-cold-hot-cold-hot-cold-hot). I've harvested a measly amount but may try again in the Fall. I'm also trying chickpeas but while the plants look healthy I haven't seen any blooms. I'm hoping if I can keep them alive over the summer they may do something in the Fall. I'm also trying peanuts but those are a longshot in my area. But I do have unripe ground cherries (I still have the plant in a peat pot ). I need to get that planted this weekend.

I've really neglected my wintersown flowers so I need to see what is still alive. The weather took my Daphne out which was heartbreaking. I need checksome and plant/give away others. Seeds that I got good germination from I'll offer for the swap even if the seed is old. I grew way too many tomato plants so I've been giving those away like crazy. I've gotten so many different varieties from the swap it will take me years to try them all!

I grew lentils last year, in maybe a 10 foot row, give or take a foot. they were super prolific, even tho at times they seemed to be browning or wilting, i assume to heat in direct sun for maybe too many hours a day, they would always bounce back. i want to say they bloomed once they were a foot and a half tall. harvesting was another story lol, it was trying, to say the least. i youtubed vids to help, to see how they did it back in the day, like with sheets and boxes and sifts..all dependent on the wind. took too long to harvest and the work involved sheesh lol. I grew quinoa as well, thats even worse to try and harvest!!! good luck with them :)

the weather has defo been odd last few years, has me way more interested in indoor gardening...hydroponics, non-circulating hydroponics, aeroponics. Im anxious to learn everything i can about it. only thing ive ever done inside was start my seeds every winter, and the occasional over-wintering project. would be cool to turn an unused bedroom into a super prolific functioning greenhouse lol.

im trying to get my hands on some ground cherry seeds atm, i NEED to grow and taste one. ive heard so many great reviews. sweet/tart pineapple mixed with tomato flavor. have you ever tasted them?

I got the ground cherry seeds before I ever tasted them. But last year my CSA had them & I loved them! There are 2 varieties that I know of-Aunt Molly & Pineapple. I'm growing Aunt Molly.

To me nothing ever tastes like descriptions. They tasted sweet with no tomato flavor at all. Other people said they tasted strange-kinda like you described. Could be the difference between fully ripe or not maybe? Or maybe I just can't taste it?

The good news about them is they start producing when very small. I started them indoors and they got flowers when only 2-3 inches tall!

Not sure I'm going to be able to plant this weekend. Just heard the remnants of TS Cindy will hit us this weekend.
