Oh, the beautiful Lillian's Thin Ice. She came here in 2015 and took off, a real champ in our book. Bloom time in 2015 began May 27. Last year bloom began earlier, on May 15th. This year, with the warm winter promoting early growth, first bloom was May 7th. Unfortunately, I am lax as to last blooms, so I can't say for sure how long LTI blooms, but it should be at least a month. One thing this daylily has never done so far is put up late rebloom scapes--doesn't matter, it makes us very happy with any bloom we get. I see I haven't added a picture to the Data Base so here is one I took on May 29th, 2016. How about those buds, not to mention the beautiful flowers.

A new CV for me this year.

Has been a wonderful face to look at and looks to be a great addition in my collection. Very nice white with the green throat, radiating from its unusual form shape. I really look forward to the future blooms on this one as it settles in.

Very nice near white, and an awesome parent if you work with near whites.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread but I'm on the hunt for thin ice. It was a good grower for me. I'm not particularly partial to spider or unusual form but I love the thick white ribbons of this one. Plus I named it back in 2009 or so when Fred had a naming contest. That was so fun an makes it special to me. when we moved I dug up something like 200 plants and what I had labeled as thin ice wasn't it. so if any one has it to trade, sell or share let me know!

I planted Lillian's Thin Ice in May 2022. I don't seem to have a fan count on it but I got one bloom this summer. Looking at this photo, looks like one fan. It's possible that I lost the marker and will have to wait for next year's bloom to find out more about it. I know the general location, at any rate!
