It's definitely okay to add to this page, and subscribers from other countries are welcome to enter the contest. If you win a prize gift certificate, however, you probably won't be able to use it.

...oh and another. Since I'm finding my way around the forums and noticing some threads are specific to photography only during a given month; it made me think to ask..........

Relating to the competition photo entries; "from your photo collection". I'm assuming that entries can be from any year? Providing obviously they've not been submitted in previous NGA Photo contests.

You can submit photos all the way up until voting/judging starts.

The system will not know. You need to be mindful of the photos that you post.

Judging begins November 24th. All times are in UTC. That means judging begins 6:00pm Central time on November 23rd.

Photos submitted must be your own creation without significant digital alteration

What is considered "significant digital alteration"?

I don't use Photoshop, but frequently create a "pseudo HDR" from one jpg, or true HDRI (high dynamic range image) from 3 combined jpgs.
Also am shooting more RAW images.

Is that allowed as long as it's just to bring out hidden details?

What you described doesn't sound like significant alteration to me.

BTW, does the photo have to be from 2017, or can it be any photo we've taken over the years?

Me too!

It does not have to be from 2017. It can be from any year, as long as it hasn't been entered in an earlier photo contest on this site.
