Have questions about the seeds someone else is offering? Here is the place to discuss it! Or maybe you just wanted to comment on or post example pictures of some seeds that have been listed? You can do that here, too! (Note, if you want to post a picture for one of your own listings, the best place to do that is in the listing so that people see it as they are bidding, but it never hurts to generate some pre-interest here, as well!)

This is not the place to post your seed wishlist.

You can post them here, but the thread that is set up and designed for your wishlists is the "List of Desired Seeds for Each Member" thread. That is where people will go to get an idea for which seeds are desired, so anything posted here might get buried, might not be seen by the 'right' person (who has your desired seeds), or might not be seen in a timely manner.

@DraDiana, I know nothing of daylilies. *Blush* I just saw pictures of these and fell in love with them. Lovey dubby I would be happy to try seeds (bulbs or whatever) for any of the cultivars on my list, even if they yield unexpected results. Gotta start somewhere... Thumbs up

This is only my third group seed swap, so I'm still fairly new to the process. A big benefit (and huge part of the fun) to these exchanges is that we're all exposed to plants which are new to us.

As I catalog seeds received in previous swaps, it occurred to me:

While I appreciate having access to growing information after the swap, by way of dedicated threads on the forum, it would be helpful if those who list seeds requiring stratification would include a blurb about it in comment section when they add those items to the swap list.

Some seeds may only need a few days of exposure to cold temps to germinate, while others require much longer. Personally, I don't mind stratifying seeds for cultivars I really want to grow. Stratification isn't a complicated process, but it's an extra step that not everyone is familiar with or wants to do. Having that bit of information upfront would help folks prioritize their wishlist and determine whether or not to place dibs on those items.

My .02 cents. Whistling What do y'all think?

The only seeds I know for sure I'm going to offer are Emilia, Irish Poet (wow, those flowers are tiny but glowing!) and columbine. I had two different colors of columbine bloom (white/pink and purple/pink). If I can figure out how to harvest the yarrow seeds those will be added too. I'm not seeing a lot of pollinators this year with the cool temps so it'll be wait and see for the rest.

I'm.sure I'll have some seeds to offer but probably not as many. The bunnies, groundhog and moles are killing me this year!

Not much blooming in the garden now except linaria, petunias, yarrow and a geranium I bought. I still have lots of plants in peat pots! If I ever can get my act together I'll plant out some snapdragons. I'm doing daylily crosses but I'm not getting a lot of pods. Pickings will be slim. I haven't even ordered any seeds this year!

Oh no, Lisa! I'm sorry to hear that. I'm worried about what I might have, too. I just got back from being out of town for 3 weeks and I haven't had much chance to take inventory of my gardens...fortunately, I think the garden wire that we hastily put up on the veggie garden the day before we left saved us from a lot of deer and bunny damage, but that remains to be seen, for sure....

I might have some nasturtium seeds that could be hybrids, though...I saw that two different varieties I planted are both doing well (I think it's 'Moonlight' and 'Jewel Mix' ...but didn't check the tags when I glanced at them between the squalls of rain yesterday, LoL!)

I got some linaria seeds too. Maybe some petunias will set seed also. Not a good veggie year with temps being so odd. Did harvest some bok choy seeds today. That might be it since very little is growing now. I'm hoping for tomatoes in September!

Oklahoma had some crazy weather this spring. We got really warm in Feb, then below freezing, then warm, the freezing, etc all the way into mid Apr or so, then flipped to broiling hot. My spring plants broiled before they could set seed, early summer stuff got hit by below freezing temps, so I'm hoping for a really good fall garden to compensate.

That's how our spring started, too! It was really crazy. And then, just as we left for vacation for three weeks, the blazing hot period started and all of my potted plants dried out, blew over, and got crispy. And when the rain DID come the day before we got back, it just rained on the sides of the pots and nothing could get to the roots. Rolling my eyes.

I'm sorry your plants were broiled, too, before they could set seed. That had to be disappointing for you. I hope this crazy weather we're all getting doesn't hurt everyone's seed stashes for the year. My fingers are crossed that you get a great fall garden. Thumbs up Smiling

My spring veggie garden mostly did not get planted because of the flip from cold to broiling. At least I still have the seeds. I set out the only two surviving tomato plants a few weeks ago along with a dozen or so peppers and five little collard plants.

I had just planted several varieties of yellow squash and zucchini when the two weeks of temps well over 100 hit. I looked yesterday, and because of drip irrigation and johnson grass for shade, there are at least a dozen squash plants, a few already about a foot tall. The forecast calls for several less hot days next week, so I am hoping to cut the johnson grass back and let the little plants have some sunshine.

I have other seeds for the fall garden ready to plant, markers even made. I just need to find the energy and drive to go out there and do it.

I'm already getting excited for the seed swap! Sadly, I did not get to hybridize much at all this season for daylilies, so any daylily offerings I have will likely be 2016/2017 seeds, BUT I just collected some hybrid seed from hibiscus (dinnerplate-sized, northern hardy). Seed season is really starting!

Hi all, Looking forward to another great swap season. I've got my fall order of seeds in and am busy repacking, labeling and listing them! Another move this year so not many of my own seeds. I hope I've picked up some things that you all will be happy to share with me. Once again I mainly focus on edibles, but you'd be surprised what actually is edible...

Can't wait to start perusing everyone's offers!

Happy trading all.

I should have more tet daylily seeds this year as I finally started getting multiple pods from the same cross. I'll still have some dips too because they typically have lots of seeds anyway.

Crossing Fingers! I may have lily seeds if the squirrels leave them alone. I thought I might get peony seeds but I don't think the crosses took.

I harvested some blackberry lily seeds again this year.
I know, I know... almost everyone has them already but this year I also harvested seeds from their improved cousins too "candy lilies" they offer a little change in colors vs the plain orange blackberry lilies.

Pretty!

I had to move garden spots. We got a puppy in Nov that decided she likes mama's old garden area, and after a dozen attempts to puppy proof it, I gave up and moved the garden to the frontyard. It did surprisingly well for unamended clay, and next year looks to be better.

I'm also looking to fill in a slice of grass that runs between our backyard fence & the sidewalk. So I'm looking for drought tolerant, clay tolerant, and puppy/kid tolerant. Being along a sidewalk, I anticipate a lot more foot traffic than the typical garden. And somewhat low growing- we don't have laws against front yard vegetable gardens but I don't want to draw too much attention to our property either.

Good suggestion but I cannot grow thyme for anything. I've tried repeatedly and kill it every time.
