This is only my third group seed swap, so I'm still fairly new to the process. A big benefit (and huge part of the fun) to these exchanges is that we're all exposed to plants which are new to us.

As I catalog seeds received in previous swaps, it occurred to me:

While I appreciate having access to growing information after the swap, by way of dedicated threads on the forum, it would be helpful if those who list seeds requiring stratification would include a blurb about it in comment section when they add those items to the swap list.

Some seeds may only need a few days of exposure to cold temps to germinate, while others require much longer. Personally, I don't mind stratifying seeds for cultivars I really want to grow. Stratification isn't a complicated process, but it's an extra step that not everyone is familiar with or wants to do. Having that bit of information upfront would help folks prioritize their wishlist and determine whether or not to place dibs on those items.

My .02 cents. Whistling What do y'all think?
