Always a good idea to consider all the elements. A large rock or piece of pottery definitely helps focus, move and anchor a point of interest.

I have LOTS of rocks. Some people here have beautiful HUGE limestone or coral rocks and I have been known to come down with 'rock-envy' Hilarious!

I'm a collector, I guess. Hard to stop bringing new stones or rocks home. Gets kind of hard on the back moving those.

Rocks, did someone say rocks? Our whole one acre lot and surrounding areas are covered with rocks of all sizes. Those that know me, know this rock is my very favorite. Smiling

Beautiful setting Margaret! I also like to use rocks especially in places where nothing would grow, an added bonus to rocks is when mosses and lichens grow on them.

Wow, what a fantastic rock Donna, your birds must love it too, a natural bird bath and drinking place!

We grow rocks here - they percolate up to the surface every year, which amazes me considering that some are too heavy to lift. Some are nice chunks of quartz, but those are usually smaller.

Besides using them in my gardens (they look fantastic with sedums and sempervivum), I also love the look of a nice rock in a container garden.

Sure thing Linda. Looks just like all the rocks I have seen all my life living on the coast. So yes, from when your area was under the sea.

I have a lot of rock incorporated into the garden. I've even got a large pile of leverite (should have left it there) cornering a garden angle. Here's a sample of some rocks and fossils out there.
