When I first got into plants a few years ago, I used to not into variegated plants at all. Probably the yellow variegation links to sick plant to me. I remember I thought to myself how sick the plant was (I think it was a Dieffenbachia -a very common one in Home Depot) - that's before I even have a slight interest in plant. But now if there is a variegated version, I will gift out my non-variegated plant to save space. (That does not make me a bed person๏ผŒ does it? :))

Do you like variegated leaves? Do you grow any, let's see your variegation.

Here is one of mine. Hibiscus

I love variegated foliage and that is a beautiful Hibiscus you have there! Is it by chance Variegated Tropical Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Snow Queen') ? I planted one in our front yard years ago and it got really large; it was there for many years before we had two or three freak winter freezes in the same year that finally killed it.

Here are a few of the variegated house plants I currently grow:

I love variegated plants, one of my biggest sorry is this one, it is officially lost in existence, I found it as a sport, and lost it due to neglect...
, (I have other photos, but can't find them at the moment)
Hope one day found a sport again... (it is not the only variegated sport that I have lost in the past, there are several, so if you have plant you love, propagate them, and share with other, if one day you lost it, other will hopefully still have them, an insurance)

Tofi, that sure was a beautiful Manihot! I've seen the Variegated Tapioca (Manihot esculenta 'Variegata') with the yellow shades but WOW, that white is really stunning! Lovey dubby

Thanks Lin, the yellow is quite popular here too. agree they are beautiful, although I have no idea on their Root quality.
This white is an incidental finding among cassava farm at my place, an edible root type, I felt sorry to have lost it. Being a cassava, it should be too-easy to propagate,.. (lesson not to take anything for granted)
There was also an even more stunning yellow-blotchy Xanthosoma sagitata I found in our garden, in the past. An edible tuber producer, with huge leaves (sorry no picture), lost in extinction without any chance to propagate. I had some tubers, but all were munched by porcupine out in the garden... Shrug!

Thank you, Lin. You just confirmed the ID for me. I got this hibiscus as 2 cuttings from Orlando, Florida. On my way from my hotel to Disney Hollywood studio, workers were pruning these hibiscus and I picked up two and put them in my water bottle for the whole day. And then bring back home when my vacation ends. That was Aug 2016, it flowered 2017, and based on the flower. I did some research (googling) and I think it is snow queen. And now from what you say, I believe the ID is correct.

The red on your Agla is so intense, I had tried these red agla but failed. You know those you get from bbox store. I tried twice . They just do not do well when wintering inside.

Your drac looks very compact, and very alive ( for lack of better word) . I had a drac warneckii once, it grown very fast , reached 6 ft within 2 years. Gave it to my friend after that.

Tofi: a very nice variegated manihot you have over there. Sorry you lost it. By the way, this is the first time I heard about this plant, pretty cool leaves.

Of course (although I just realized I hit a "w" instead of an "e" in that post Hilarious! )! Thank you for the acorns, although you didn't have to do that! *Blush*

With as many plants as you have, I'd forget most of their names. Forgetting one is nothing, haha!

YW & the reminder was worth more than a few acorns. Smiling

While we're pic-sharing, it could also be interesting to see if people more love "mystery" & irregular variegation where each leaf has a unique pattern, like that gorgeous MG just above, or a more orderly kind, like on Dracaenas? I don't think I can choose.

I like the variability in patterns of light patches. At one time I had tried to see letters in the variegated, like was done by Kjell Sandved with butterfly wing color patterns. I only found a few letters; V and C were most common.

PS: does the thumb up and acorn mean something? I got a lot of thumb up notices.

Rockdale, the thumbs up are when people clicked the thumbs-up thing on a post of yours. I can't speak for others but I "thumb" a post when I like it &/or agree with what is said.
