This Euphorbia (Pedilanthes) tithymaloides stem is getting pink, as well as being variegated. With some lovely Sans plants & other non-variegated but still-loved friends.

We have a few variegated Dwarf Umbrella trees growing in our backyard and I have one from a cutting that I potted up last spring. I chopped the backyard plants back a couple of weeks ago and thought about potting more cuttings but they ended up going out with yard debris.

Simon Sez is the perfect description! It's impossible to keep up with plant names anymore, with scientists seeming to move some of them from one genera to another ... and then sometimes back to the original name!! I still have my file folders labeled Schefflera.

Yeah, they're just enjoying watching everyone's confusion I think. Madness! I never gave permission for my plants' names to be changed. I still have Setcreasea, Rhoeo, Stapelia, Sansevieria, Philodendrons, Kleinia, Aptenia, and others that don't come to mind. I'm too old to learn hundreds of new plant names and I don't have any more memory cells available for that. It's great that you're giving it a try. I guess we'll be able to start spotting the old people by the plant names they use. LOL!

LOL, the move of Sansevieria to Dracaena is one that really, really confuses me; I never in a million years would have considered them related. I'm nearing 76 years of age and it's getting harder and harder to keep up.

When they did that, it was obvious that what they are doing is not serious, just a big joke on everybody.

I used to pride myself on knowing the Latin names. Pfffft!
Now I use as many names as I know including common names, and hope one of them gets the point across.
