I've had this plant for three years. It increases well and is loaded with buds. It is a front of the border plant. My only complaint is that it blooms itself out rather quickly. For all of the buds, I would think that it bloom longer than three weeks, but that is what it does in my zone 5 garden.

I received this plant back on April 7th 2017, so it is nearly one year old in my garden. You an see it already had a scape on it when I got the plant.

It has not grown or multiplied much so far, today it is four nice fans with 2 new fans developing.

Hope to have more info after it blooms this year. I did move the plant in September of 2017, but it seems to have taken the move in stride being it is developing new fans.

Another fall share from Susan. Like all of the fall planted daylilies, BFD settled in fine. I haven't been out in the gardens much so far this spring, so I have nothing else to report yet.

Black Fathom Depths has been here five years. When it was first planted, it didn't do very well. Evidently, there was too much shade, so it was moved after that year, and immediately showed improvement. 2016 was an excellent year for it, a very long bloom period. This past year 2017, it was very slow in the spring, few scapes, few blooms. However, it took off in the late summer and bloomed almost into the start of fall. Certainly this was a surprise, and I will be watching this year to see what happens in the spring. The scapes do produce a lot of buds, and the flowers can be crowded when they open. Here is a photo taken August 19. 2017.

I just realized I have not reviewed this one. It multiplies fast, definitely a front of the bed plant. It has lots of buds, but blooms out fast. Like David, mine lasts 3 weeks, but it is very showy every day of those 3 weeks. I have not really noticed it get too crowded though. Never had it rebloom, and had it at least 5 years.

Black Fathom Depths has been here for several years. Not locate in the best spot. From all the above reports it will be a better performer in an ideal location. Love it !! It does not rebloom in my garden.
