Gorgeous blue flowers! Hybridized by Rolando UrĂa in 2014 in Argentina. Rolando is the person we can all thank for the gorgeous purple flowered salvia, 'Amistad'. Salvia 'Amistad'

Rolando has lots of photos to enlarge in both of the first two links.

You can read the truth about 'Amena' in the first two links (translated and not translated), since Rolando has that section in English right below where it states: THE TRUTH ABOUT SALVIA 'AMENA'. (the translated link has more info in English also)

@FBTS Kermit, will you be offering this one someday?

I doubt it. Reason one, getting clonal material via legitimate plant import practices is just downright expensive and time consuming. I doubt this will be brought into the US by a larger nursery, as it likely is not patentable. Second, neither parent is anything but a niche/Salvia enthusiast plant for us, so likely the cost if acquisition would be recovered slowly if at all. Our focus on new varieties needs to be tempered by the realities of finance. There are many new things that do make sense for us, some of which we'll be releasing soon.

Greetings from England!
Sure this will find its way to the US before long. It has found its way to New Zealand! It really is a beauty....its few faults...tender, sticky, untidy...can be ignored, this Salvia is a gem!
