Two years ago I got a few plants from Dr. Dawg. One of them was from a seedling dated 12/20/13 (according to the tag it came with). To this day I still have no idea what the name of plumeria is called. Last year it bloomed and had wonderful fragrant flowers I could smell from 10 to 15 yards away. Then what seemed like an inflow coming out of the original inflow came a seed pod. These pictures were dated Sep 19, 2017. The seed pod and the plumeria grew all winter long in my greenhouse. I'm curious what to expect and how to prepare for this seed pod when the time comes for it to mature. Also, I'm curious if anyone could point how what the mother plant is or what does it closely resemble? Thank you
The original plant being a seedling, it doesn't have a name until you name It! It's lovely, I think. And great to already have a pod! It will take 9 months to mature, so don't be in a hurry!
You will notice it starts to dry up and the center seam will become more noticeable. You can then gently twist it to see if it's ready to open. The date is of course approximate... it could be a few weeks more or less. I would keep an eye on it, or you can put a mesh bag or knee-hi hose over it to catch the seeds when it opens. Good luck!
I use the mesh bag that avocados, onions or other produce come in. I bag up the pods as they start to turn from green to brown and close it up lighty with a twist tie. Makes for a great seed catcher!
Your flowers are beautiful. Maybe @drdawg can tell you the name?

Lucky, the seed-pod parent is Riviera Rainbow. I do not know the pollen-parent. The date signifies when the seed germinated. If you don't mind, I would love to have some of those seeds when harvested. Here is what my Riviera Rainbow flowers look like.
