When I was given the opportunity to make my choice after placing in the latest raffle, I decided to opt for the three rose plants from Perfect Plants. But roses are marginal here in Southwest Florida, and I had looked at their website and found some other plants that were tempting, so I thought I'd see if they were open to a switch. That was pretty cheeky of me!! (and I would not necessarily recommend this course of action...).
I would have fully understood if they had declined but in fact they were very agreeable to the idea, so I chose to receive Agapanthus instead. They kept me informed on the shipping time and date, and today a box arrived at my door. A BIG box!
When I opened it, I saw one of the plants was already trying to climb out
I opened it fully, and found three beautiful plants, as fresh as if they had been packed up five minutes before, with stakes holding them firmly in place and with plastic bags tied around the pots to keep the soil from drying out/spilling out.
That was not all! A leaflet explaining what to do next, as well as three baggies of fertilizer were included.
I will plant these later today in their assigned location.
