Daylilies are so hardy, that it's hard to imagine any of them perishing, but they do! Starting this on the Memorial Day Weekend, let's not only honor the memories of the men and women who served in our armed forces (Thank you for your service--I have a number of military members in my family), but we can also use this time to honor and remember those daylilies that did not make it through this past winter...
Here are the daylilies that perished in my garden this past winter (that I know of so far):
Eagle's Gift
Karen Stephens: This one was especially disappointing for me, it was on track to be one of my favorites...
Screen Pattern - never even saw a single bloom:
Masked Phantom - roots are still good, though, so I'm holding out hope...
Lunar Mist - never even saw a bloom on this one
Shockwave - never saw a bloom on this one
Temporary and Eternal - never even saw a bloom on this one; apparently, it's far more temporary than eternal
"Becky's Curls" - an unregistered seedling-- makes me cry inside to have lost this, it was certainly in my top 3 favorite daylilies I own and there is no way to get more of it
It is pictured here:

Exotic Gown - never even saw a bloom
Johnny Bear
Lynchburg Mustang - really surprised I lost this one, it did so well in past years
American Freedom - sort of sad to post this on a weekend that honors the sacrifice of people who faught for that freedom (same sentiments about Eagle's Gift...the first one I put in this list):
Exotic Starburst
There may be more...
