Cobrahead has joined the raffle! They are offering a package of THREE of their tools. View the raffle to read about these tools. I'm personally a huge fan of these weeding implements.

They had originally signed up to be in the raffles but an oversight on my part caused them to be left out. Thankfully they noticed they weren't being included in the raffle and alerted me to this. They're in now! This is an awesome prize package - good luck to everyone!

Dave, if I thought you needed one or maybe more, I'd toss acorns at you. I love Cobrahead! Wasn't going to buy any tickets but this just changed my mind. I know it only takes 1 ticket to win, but I wonder about getting a Cobrahead. Was just about to buy another cobrahead but might as well wait a few weeks. (cross fingers)

Thanks!

I love Cobrahead! I was "sold" the first time I saw them in action at the Philly garden show. Even though their demo dirt wasn't exactly hard packed, LOL, I could see just exactly how easy it would be to drive that head into the ground behind a dandelion or plantain or etc... quick yank forward and up, and out come those stubborn roots!

I haven't tried the long handled one, but I'd like to!

If you have enough gardening friends and/or local NGA members, check into a group buy discount for Cobrahead. I've talked to him about it, and although I'd need to look up the details, he was pretty generous (not requiring high numbers before offering a discount). Just combining shipping will usually save some bucks on a group order. We might see about doing one for our fall plant swap party. those of us who already love them might want to get a mini or a long-handled one...

I've never tried their long handled one, but I have their original and mini cobrahead and I love them! I use my minis all the time - they are my favorite "little" weeding tools. Would never want to be without them.

Yay! and wow! Cobrahead, those tools sound amazing! This sounds like just the tool 'I need' for digging out dandelions, wild violets and unwanted volunteer whatever(s) that dont belong in the front lawn. LOL! which size would you suggest for a job like that? and also does it work for hard clay soil? I would love to have one of these, keeping my fingers crossed....best of luck to everyone! Hurray!

These work in all kinds of soil. I know because I have a variety in my yard/garden. I love that after I've dug stuff up, I can lay the Cobrahead sideways and use it like a broom. Very handy.

I can't decide about the long handled one. Wouldn't turn it down, that's for sure. Might be good for reaching those little oak trees that the squirrels plant in the very middle of my perennial bed.

Dave, is that video you made still around?

I just "bought" 10 more tickets because of this tool. No worries, Folks. You know I never win raffles. Just thought I'd thicken the pot. Thumbs up

It only takes ONE ticket to win, just one.

Have to think positive. The only way you can't win is not to purchase a ticket.
But I am so confident that you are going to win Cheryl. But I'll double your odds, if I win and have the opportunity to select those tools, I will gift them to you!!! Your chances just keep getting better! Thumbs up

I just watched Dave's video, and I think the original cobra head is still my choice. That's because I like the additional leverage of a longer handle. I don't find myself grabbing the upper part of the handle toward the metal for more power. My favorite handheld digging tool has a 15 inch handle... And I don't grab it close to the blade either.

That said, I sure wouldn't mind winning a mini, and I'll quite likely pick one up in Philly next year. I do think it would work better for my daughter (almost 9!).
