I wish we could grow them here. They will grow but they certainly don't thrive because of our very acidic soil.

Thanks for the compliment on the pic.

This is one of our favorite bushes. We have two and I'm considering the white one (Ice Chip). Blue Chip is easy care, no diseases or pests, blooms a long time, and it fits nicely into our small yard. I didn't know that they dislike acidic soil. That may explain why it's so happy here---lots of clay. But I amend it (aged humus, gypsum) so it drains better.

Love this plant but have bought 3-4 of them in the last 2 years & they keep dying on me! Luckily...I purchased it from a nursery that has a 1 year guarantee!
I have lots of other BF bushes planted in my yard & they are all thriving! I first tried this wonderful little BF bush in my urns & it died. This spring, I bought another one & planted it...it was doing great until about 2 weeks ago & it shriveled & died again!
I guess this cultivar doesn't like me or my gardens! Crying Sad Confused
Take care,
Lila aka 'imabirdnut'
