OK... I've never seen Trogon look that good, particularly in my garden.

It was a short lived asiatic for me, surviving two years. 3 buds each year.

Similar here, but I blame it on being planted in the root zone of my neighbor's Western Red Cedar tree. Surprisingly, some lilies have done quite well there though.

Mine was in full sun where other lilies of all types thrive, even the Buggy Crazy Orientals.

Congratulations dave. so very impressive! Like Lorn noted, a bright lily future lays before you; before it's all said and done you may end up with a lily that goes commercial.

I'm really hoping to go to Boston next year and try to exhibit something. I hope to see everyone there!

As I routinely attest my love of orientals, I suppose it just worked out that being a shorter variety, started under lights inside and transitioned pretty early on outside, a fairly straight stem (compared to the dozen lilies I attempted to do this with). Nobody else brought orientals at all, making it especially important for me that these turned out. Orientals needed a cheerleader: me of course!

It was a great time. There seemed to be a lot not unity and conversing between everyone. Not as much of the personal agendas. Lol. There still was some of that as everyone has their rivalries
