This Summer is going by way too fast, August 1. is already here and with that a new thread!

I was hoping my C. Penny Kuroda 'Spots' would have all 3 spikes fully open by this morning, but two full spikes are making me happy too!

And there is my Bulbo echinolabium, I am so happy this is essentially a Summer bloomer for me! What a happy camper, whew. The flies are happy too. I could actually smell it yesterday up on the deck....🤢

Specklinia / Pleurothallis brighamii is a miniature, the cute little blooms look like something one might swat?

And here is another pic of the Papilionanda Pink Fairy, I love how nice this one blooms this year!

Ooh, that Bulbo is so pretty, it would almost tempt me to grow a stinky orchid! And those Penny Kuroda bouquets! Gorgeous.

The Pink Fairies are really cute little cartoon faces with their tongues sticking out and - No Swatting Orchids, Ursula! Even if they do look like giant horse flies, we'd have to report you for blatant orchid abuse.

I'll be good, I promise!

I got mine years ago from Waldor Orchids!

C. Penny Kuroda, what a fantastic hybrid that is!
It is colorful, spotted, possibly peloric, fragrant, makes clusters of flowers, flowers have good size and I WANT ONE!!!

Perhaps a phone call to Waldor is in order?

I haven't seen one on their table in the last few years. Lots of beautiful things but not that one. I don't know if I'll run into them up here.
Krull-Smith is a good possibility. They had some gorgeous Cattleya Landates and Cattleya Brabantiae as well. But honestly if I had every orchid I ever lusted for, there wouldn't be any room in my house for me!!!

Trust me...I have looked high and low for C. Penny Kuroda,....I've seen it as a parent. but never just Penny K. Bill, if you come across one that is near blooming size grab it for me!
