Again, I am jealous! I need to go lie down now. Maybe I need to grow something else.

I grew a tree peony on Long Island 10 years ago. Had it for ten years and it is still there.
Hollingsworth is sending the peony that DrDawg steered my way from the July raffle. I am learning a good deal before it gets here! I sure hope it survives.

I haven't been posting much as I haven;pt had time to be on the computer, not to mention I was without one for over 2 weeks cause my hard drive went bad...and I haven't even taken any pictures of some of my blooms because after a while they just seem to get redundant!

But then I went out with my camera a couple of days ago and captured these:

A first time bloomer for me, and I almost missed it as you can probably tell from the fading top flowers:

This isn't technically a bloom yet, and it's my second attempt at a psychopsis (I murdered the first one in less than a year!), but if I'm looking at this right...it will have 4 blooms if they ever open up!
Thumb of 2018-08-08/SarasotaPatty/6b0490

This is the orchid (it's actually 2) that lounged across my entire couch during the hurricane last year...I almost missed this one too, but that's only cause I hardly ever look 15 feet up into the ficus to see the top of it!

This is the gorgeous bulbo that Lindsey gave me...and it's the 3rd time it's bloomed. I've never seen a bulbo put out such a loooong bloom spike before with all these 'leaves'(?) along it...

I noticed this little gem, on the huge piece of tree that I mounted a bunch of different orchids to 2 or 3 years ago...they're all doing well, and this one has another inflo getting ready to open too!

But I was the most excited about this--- looks like Stan likes his new digs! A little later than usual, but considering I repotted him in the spring, I'm thrilled he didn't need to 'pout' for a year! 3 inflos, I can't wait!

My Penny Kuroda opened the third spike despite daily deluges and again temps in the nineties F. Who says Orchids are dainty? Smiling

My little Thunderstorm orchid is trying to keep up with our daily dose of thunder. Another small flush of blooms today. Unfortunately in this hot weather they only stay open for one day. Good thing this little one blooms so often! It's canes are at least 3ft long, and shoot out in all directions, so although it's a dainty plant, it sure takes up it's share of the space out there!

I love that Zygo Lindsey. I think if I ever get settled again I will consider Zygos. I had one for a few years then it just up and croaked but not before blooming several tiems a year.

I really thought they would be too fussy for my ' treat everyone the same' approach... and the flowers last a long time as well.
Today I have just one single flower on C Crystelle Smith.

At what time of day should I be sniffing this one? If it is supposed to be scented during the day, then this one is a dud.
