This series all look pretty- I haven't grown any of them. The first Salvias I ever grew were one of these Splendens types that stay short- we had a dark purple flowered one and a red flowered one. None of them did very well for us, so I decided they weren't worth growing! This was several years before I learned more and fell in love with Salvias and started studying and growing them yearly. Perhaps I will have to try one of these Splendens again.

We used these as part of mixed container plantings this season. I am unsure if I took any pictures...I'll have to go through and check. It grows like any splendens...which is to say they benefit greatly from deadheading spent flower stems. They are a nice creamy white color and grow to around 10-12 inches or so.
