This is really amazing. I love the colors on this. How big is the flower, in terms of inches?

That flower was about 4in. across, and the filaments (are they stamens?) were 1.5in, long.

Sherry, this one wandered around my back yard in a big pot for nearly a year before it "found" its spot. Last summer, I left it in one place too long, below my stand of 40ft. bamboo. Next thing I knew it had climbed 20ft up there. So I planted it, then just last month DH built a little pergola out of bamboo poles for it, and we hauled it down (without breakage!! Hurray! ) and twined it around and over that. Now I can see the flowers, and take pictures of them too. If we ever get fruit, we might even find it before the squirrels . . .

Well, I have never seen one of these in my life, or heard of this plant, but I must have one!! We have a house on the Alabama Gulf Coast and my husband has been wanting to put up a trellis with some type of exotic vine. This looks like it would be the perfect thing. Are these available at nurseries, or is the internet a better source? Thanks for any help you can give me to locate one of these!!

Maxine, I got the start of mine as a gift from my kids for Mother's Day year before last. I think it came from Logee's. I've never seen it in nurseries here.

There are other passion vines that are just as pretty and not quite as cold-tender, so you might want to consider them before you go on a 'quest' for this particular one. Even on the coast of Alabama you're most likely a little bit colder in winter than we are.

This is Lady Margaret, dark burgundy flowers with white centers, no fruit though.

And this one is Purple Possum, my faithful fruit bearer - purple fruit like you pay $3 at the grocery store for. Flowers are really pretty, too.

And Passiflora Coccinea, this one doesn't fruit either, but it's the most common one you'll find at nurseries. Vigorous and flowers almost year 'round.

Yes, so many beautiful passies to choose from...they're available in nurseries here, but there are online sources.
