That flower was about 4in. across, and the filaments (are they stamens?) were 1.5in, long.

Sherry, this one wandered around my back yard in a big pot for nearly a year before it "found" its spot. Last summer, I left it in one place too long, below my stand of 40ft. bamboo. Next thing I knew it had climbed 20ft up there. So I planted it, then just last month DH built a little pergola out of bamboo poles for it, and we hauled it down (without breakage!! Hurray! ) and twined it around and over that. Now I can see the flowers, and take pictures of them too. If we ever get fruit, we might even find it before the squirrels . . .
