What is your best blue iris? Is it really blue? Does it rebloom, have strong stems, grow healthy rhizomes??? What other good qualities does it have?

Absolute Treasure is my favorite, but I have only been growing it one season, so who knows?
Colors are fairly accurate in this photo, but it can be paler too.

A newly planted rhizome pushed out a huge bloom stalk and still managed 3 very good increases in a spot where some of its neighbors had partial rots during winter. The mother rhizome has given me 2 more increases this summer and this is despite of me moving the whole clump (without trimming the fans)to a prime location in the middle of the worst drought I ever experienced during the sunniest summer on record here in Sweden.
So a bit early to tell perhaps, but I do love this iris a lot. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

I don't have a lot of truly blue irises, but I'm with William - Absolute Treasure is great looking and a good grower. Thumbs up

Absolute Treasure is my bluest too. I had a NoID that was suppose to be Sky and Sun but wasn't. It was a pretty mid blue. Darker than Ab. Treasure.

I just received Absolute Treasure this season. 3 small rhizomes instead of one good size one. I think it was from Shady Spot

I am looking forward to seeing them grow big and strong!

Elegance in Blue is a very strong grower that I got last year. We will see what happens in its second year. So far, it is the best grower, and *almost* blue.

I have several lighter blues and some "icy", blues, but right now, of those that I have seen, I'd say that the "very best" blue iris I have is 'Platinum Passion'.

I actually do not have a blue iris that has bloomed yet for me. I'm *that* new to irises. I believe 'Full Tide' is blue, but it hasn't bloomed and could easily be false-advertising from Walmart, so who knows.

If I had to pick an iris that is blue, or primarily blue that I love, it's Blueberry Boat. Golly! It is soooooo pretty! (Okay, yeah, I know, it's more purple-y, but c'mon! Anybody got any spares? Rolling on the floor laughing )
TB 'Starting Fresh' blooming for me in May of 2022. It bloomed for a week and a half with nine buds.

I will definitely second Absolute Treasure for its vigor and healthy increases rather quickly, Mine was much paler this year than last but so prolific. I have a beautiful blue called Miah Jane which is lovely and also Restless Tide.

I'm also very fond of 'Absolute Treasure'.

I also like some old blues.

'Feed Back' has been a reliable re-bloomer and strong grower.

'Sugar Blues', likewise

I've had this blue NOID for around 20 years.. Still love it. I've bought many blues over the years.. so far, no match.

Nice NOID blue!

I got a NOID blue bloom this season... it blooms the same time as 'Navajo Jewel', has similar colors and height, but I don't think that's it. (I could be wrong, though...)
