I am in the process of lining out seedlings for the years of 2020 and 2021. I have had this daylily for a couple of years, it has a good scape with lots of buds and increases well. My problem is the bloom color and pattern. Its also a small daylily.
My question is "would you grow this in your yard".

We would. Being a 3.25" bloom with stippling and a good scape are good reasons to grow this seedling in our garden. It has distinction being such a small bloom with stippling.

I would definitely grow it. I love small and miniature blooms! The patterning is very attractive, too.

Stippling in this color by itself is not my favorite but I do love to see stippling in brighter colors or mixed colors. I would definitely use it for hybridizing purpose.

I'm not a fan of pink but I love the markings on that one. I'd buy it for my daughter's garden, she'd love the color too.

Give it a funky name like "Lillian's Tie-Dye" and I'll bet it will be popular.

I'd add it to my program (and I second the northern garden volunteering!)

The question should be why wouldn't I grow it in my garden! I cannot think of any reason not to grow it smily:

Sorry @spunky1 but I am going to be the dissentor here. I have very limited space so I have to love a plant to keep it in my garden. This one wouldn't make the cut for me.

The fact that it is a small bloom WOULD cause me to keep it in my garden.

Thanks for the insight everyone. I'm with you Jill, I won't grow anything I don't like.
I will line it out and see how it does as a three year old.

Fred, I don't remember you offering anything like this over the few years I've known you. It'll be interesting to see how popular it is for you.

Being a small bloom and stippled, it is not like anything else I have seen registered and sold. I think for those that like the smaller size and striped blooms, it might become popular.

I personally like it, Fred. Glad to hear that you are lining it out for future sales. Thumbs up
