That sounds good, Kelly. For our floor we first put down hardware cloth because we have moles, voles and gophers in the area. Crushed pea gravel went over that, and then we laid cement pavers. It makes it nice to walk on. They are red in color, so our hard water is slowly turning them white, but if it gets too bad I can clean them up.

At first I was thinking of using mulch but I've gotten too many splinters from weeding in mulches.

Edited to say that I'm barefoot sometimes, so the mulch wouldn't work for me.

Our local nursery's greenhouse is built on bare ground with nothing but a commercial weed barrier fabric on the floor, however it is thicker than weed barrier fabric you can but in retail stores. Don't see why you couldn't double it up if you wanted to just go with that for a while.

Lots of commercial GH's just have the industrial strength weed barrier as flooring. Mine didn't work well because the areas I had it in, it eventually rotted (I didn't have the pro grade just the Lowes stuff). But then again, I plant stuff directly into the ground, no benches, so my purpose in 'flooring' is completely different

I'm leaning toward doubling my landscape fabric and just using that for a while. It's a lot cheaper!!!! Especially since I already have the landscape fabric Smiling
