The hybridizer's description says it has 1/4 inch of glittering gold on the edges - I'm wondering if that's really true? Anyone grow this one? I keep watching it on the auction, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Any info would be welcome.

Jill, sorry you have had no replies. I am not familiar with Ultimate Weapon.

1/4" of glitter would be more than I have ever seen in person on a daylily. If it really does that, it would be pretty neat!

I agree Juli - I was thinking the same thing myself - that's why I asked about it. I was hoping someone here had actually seen the bloom.

I do remember seeing a daylily bloom in the last year that had a narrow edge of what looked like metallic gold glitter, but I don't remember what it was or where I saw it, and it certainly wasn't a 1/4" edge -- maybe 1/16". I liked it, though!

Me too, Betty! I really like that sparkle!
