OK, I am getting quite a large plant inventory list. Can we have the plants that are in the categories alphabetized?

Also, I have a few things that I have placed as 'Want' plants that are mixed in with my inventory 'Have' list. This is not a 'Have' list of available items for trading. Can we have a separate link on our profile page and the List page for just the trade items, either 'Want' or 'Have' for trades?

Right now the plants are shows in alphabetical order, by genus first then cultivar. I think we can change that however we like, I just need some guidance on how you may like it.

Yes, what I think might be best is a link at the top of your plant list page that says something like:

"View only: Have or Want"

and the words "have" and "want" link to that same page with just items from that status showing.

Am I thinking in the right direction here?

Yes, I like the "View only: Have or Want" but it needs to be differentiated from a 'Have" like what I have in my inventory as opposed to "Have" what I available for trade.

Now as far as the alphabetical listing, using my categories for example, my daylilies are listed backwards by cultivar name starting with the W's. Looks like it may be that way based on what I entered last?

Same thing with Roses and Iris.

My Perennials and Succulents are done according to genus as you said but the cultivars are listed backwards as well.

That's bizarre. Mine are in the correct alphabetical order regardless of the order in which I added them.

If I'm just looking at my list, then they are in alphabetical order, but when I'm in list manage mode, then they are in the order I entered them. This makes a kinda hard when I'm trying to find something I entered before.

Oh, right. There are two sets of lists. If you enter from the "Lists" tab at the top of each page on the site, the lists are in alphabetical order.

Zuzu, how do my lists look like to you, from the link above and from there, my Roses and Iris? Backwards?

Yours was always in the correct order when I accessed it from the "Lists" tab, but not from your profile page, Sue, but now they both match and are in the correct order.

This is going to be awesome!
One thing I just noticed (not sure if this is the best place to mention it?) is that if I click on one of the plants I "want", the database shows valleylynn has it, but she doesn't show it as available for trade. Seems like it would be more useful to only have the "Haves" show up if the member has the plant listed for sale or trade? Hmmm, although I suppose it would be useful to know who has a plant so you could ask them where they got theirs. Dunno.
