Those are really old. I have one that is 40 years old and is perhaps 40 feet tall.
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

They look an unusual shape for a blue spruce, with the lack of a pointy top and wider base plus the curved up branches. Is this typical for older specimens?

I think it has to do both with age and because these plants are probably not clones or cultivars, just random seedings.
