I got this in the 50 percent sale at Bluestone Perennials too. It is so nice. The blooms make excellent cut flowers and seem to last longer than most other Clematis. It could be because the petals are more waxy and thicker. I have even seen them dry and not fall apart in the vase. This thing repeat blooms very well too. I really like the lighter color that shows from the side. Do any of you grow this one? In my opinion it is one of the best Clematis out there.

Don't have that one but have Duchess of Albany, which is very similar. Nice picture and comments - you should post in the database!

Boy, talk about another untruth in advertising. You definitely should put that in the database.

What a cryptic post, Polly. Smiling What did you mean to say? Your link just goes to the main sale page.

Bluestone redirected Poly's link to the main page. I suspect she wanted it to go to the Princess Diana page, which I couldn't find when I did a search on their site for it.
Bummer, I wanted to see what it said.

Oops, sorry. You know I checked to see what posted before I hit finished. Sorry all. I was referring to the picture on Bluestone of Princess Diana clematis, which was shown as bright purple and bright pink.

But I kinda see what happened, they went to their 50% off sale in the meantime, and it's not on there.

Forgive me please Crying

Not your fault Polly, their site is constantly changing, as it says "Our site will go back to normal with all items visible once this special sale has ended."

This plant looked like it's supposed to. I think Bluestone just had a crummy photo. I knew it was going to be pink. Hurray!

Princess Di has been blooming since last month but she is now putting on more buds. I just love her coloring...very pretty pink.
