After spending too much money on a multitude of hoses that I disliked, I finally stumbled upon the answer to the perfect garden hose.

Thanks for the Article! As a gardener, I shared your frustration with the ubiquitous vinyl hoses. My solution was very similar to yours, however, living in Florida, I also found that the sun and heat were breaking down the vinyl.

So I bought a hot water hose instead. Heavier to drag around as it's also rubber, but I don't have worry about the sun melting it. And it doesn't kink.
