Something in Cybister, like 'Chico', 'la'paz'... or 'Sumatra'... may be
if it cant be ID to the varietal level, perhaps just Hippeastrum cybister then..

Can you post a photo of the front of one the blooms? That's really what you need to see in order to ID it. It is a member of the cybister group, but there are several dozen of them.

I actually ordered Butterfly Amaryllis & this is what I got. I'm not unhappy but do I treat this one differently? I always bring them into bloom inside my home & them plant outside in the ground. I leave them there permanemtly.

You treat them the same as the other Hippeastrum. In my own experience, growing them in the ground, they take much longer to bloom again than the usual varieties. I had one last year that took at least 5 years to re-bloom, it put up healthy leaves each year. I have at least a dozen that haven't re-bloomed as of last year.

@bsharf I had one that came from my mom who has passed away that had not bloomed in many, many years (about 10 I think). I thought it was a St. Joseph's but since it hadn't bloomed in so long I actually couldn't remember. My husband dug it up, moved it, & set it a little higher in the ground & it bloomed last year. I was so happy!

Did you order this from a company? If so, you might contact them - they might send you the correct bulb, and also allow you to keep the one you have too. It is very easy to send the wrong bulb as I have heard that bulbs have to go through at least 6 different hands to get shipped. A photo of the front of the bloom will help us.

I do believe this is Chico. And it is very nice.

'Chico' is an elegant affair, with tepals writhing and undulating in exotic and graceful ways. The coloration is quiet; a muted rose, cream, and green affair that never distracts the observer from its chief asset...form.
