I just got this yesterday. I have never had an Pavonia before and I am really excited to have one now. Its bloom is just so unusual. And its red. I love red. Can anyone give me pointers on growing it?

Oh, that is pretty! Is it Brazilian Candles (Pavonia multiflora) I've never grown one but saw some beauties in bloom when we visited San Diego a few years ago.

Thanks! I have to do some research about them. The person I did my trade with had some very unusual things. WE plan to trade again in the future after both of us do some propagating heh heh

The little pink ones, P. rosa campestris, used to grow wild around my last home. Pavonias are very nice easy to care for plants. I love the red multiflora you got.
