. I just read that tulip hybrids are sterile. while I know most hybrids are sterile due to non viable gametes and yet Arlow Stout produced viable gametes creating hybrid daylilies which produce viable seed. why hasnt this been done with tulips? am i missing something perhaps sub species hybrids?
