I think this is a GREAT project. While I do not have the time to actually be active in the project and record the required scientific data, I have been encouraged by it to plant pollinator-friendly plants. I have lately planted sunflowers and a few snap dragons, but this summer I have decided to plant 3 different pollinator-friendly plants as the article suggests. I live in a condo with a small amount of space, but planting the sunflowers has attracted a lot of bees. There is also a small contained Thistle patch across the parking lot that attracts a huge number of bees. Two gold finches moved in 3 years ago, and now we have at least 30 gold and house finches, a few but growing number of butterflies and bees galore. So even though I am not really a part of this project, I actually am doing my part in suburbia to provide a better home for our pollinators. I like that this project addresses this - even though many of us live in the suburbs or urban areas, we can all still do our part! Hurray!
