My smaller (of 2) Chambeyronia macrocarpa is putting out a beautiful red leaf. One day the new spear is still solid, the next day, KABAM! like red stained glass

When the leaf totally opens. Its problematic to get the whole palm in the shot, it is surrounded by a lot of plumeria, a big bamboo palm, crotons and philodendrons.

My REALLY BIG one (in the front of the greenhouse) is 20 feet tall. The fronds exit the trunk at about 12 feet. This one is only about 8 feet at the present time.(fronds and all) there is still time to re-containerize it because it is right smack dab in front of the heater.

She is OPEN! I love this palm so much. Many palms have new red leaves, but of the ones I own, this one is the biggest.

20-25 feet.
I have 2. The big one is in the front of the greenhouse. It is a 'Watermelon' type. The trunk has beautiful striated vertical patterning that looks reminiscent of a watermelon to some people I guess. It has grown to be 20 feet already (including the fronds) the trunk top where the fronds exit is at about 12 feet. I have to try soon to start to make it lean and grow a little more horizontally to get the fronds off there ceiling.

I am not sure if the smaller one is a Watermelon of the plain green form, its trunk is not tall enough to be that defined. But this from is about 6 f long.
