I'd love to know, actually. It's a rose I got at the Antique Rose Emporium 3 or 4 years ago. The tag is LONG gone.

It sure is a beauty ... is it fragrant? it reminds me of the old southern Cherokee Rose.

It is fragrant indeed. Looking a photos, I'm thinking it's not Sally Holmes. If anyone knows the name, let me know!

Another feature of this rose: It is growing in pure sand with zero soil amendments and no mulch. It never ever receives any irrigation and it survived last year's historical drought and heat wave without breaking a sweat.

R. laevagita (Cherokee Rose) is fragrant and also very thorny!

edited to ask if your plant has lots of thorns?

Rosa laevagita is a climbing rose and mine is certainly not.

A big question: Does it repeat bloom? Or just once in the spring?

I can't remember it repeat blooming, but it's in an area that I generally don't visit very often. So I can neither confirm nor deny that.

As you can see, it's growing in pretty neglected conditions. There are 2 other varieties of roses right next to it.

I think Calif_Sue got it right: Sally Holmes. It's the only white single I could find that has those buff/peach buds. ARE sells it. It's supposed to be bushy Whistling

I guess I have to stop insisting that it reverted to it's rootstock now, huh?

Especially since Antique Rose Emporium only sells own-root roses. Smiling
