I've had a good variety of butterflies here but they refuse to let me take a photo. I think they got tired of my junk last year. Hilarious!

I came across two male Green Anoles fighting today, they are very territorial especially during mating season. While at the local Lowes my wife and I were looking at the flowers and the Brown Anole was getting some sun. I have seen more and more Brown anoles showing up in the area (south Louisiana). They are brought in with the nursery plants. If we have a cold winter they may not make it; although they could be getting acclimated. The Brown anole is much faster than the Green.

Finally! A painted lady held still long enough to get a picture. (Not that it's a particularly good one) The fritillaries and swallowtails are still being uncooperative.

Probably a grey tree frog but I've never seen this particular color phase before but they change pigment freely.
Also share my work area with wrens and pair of cardinals with a baby who will be getting its flight feathers soon. He's a rather tattered looking kid but his crest looks pretty punk rock. Hilarious! Couldn't get a picture because it hangs out up amongst the rafters.

Still a bit cold here for the bees, but warming up. Living in a condo, we don't have too much for the pollinators, but I have an end unit and have been planting the last few years for them - have made great progress for the bees. Now working hard for the butterflies - in my limited space. Some forward thinking person found a small area by our parking lot and planted milk thistle - and the condo complex has left it alone - I think the grounds crew does not know if that area belongs to us or the adjoining company - a plus for the bees and finches who LOVE it.

I found a bee in my Logan fruit tree. But not very clear though. This plant is blooming profusely. It didn't stay still for picture.
