I have done some major work to the tree mail system. You will notice hopefully no bugs but a few changes:

1) The tree mails now behave just like the threads. They are paged now, so those of us with tree mails that have hundreds of replies no longer have to wait forever for them to load up.

2) Just like the threads, you can only reply at the bottom of the final page.

3) When you click to view a mail, it will auto-jump to the latest new reply.

4) The look of the tree mail system has changed a bit.

This brings the tree mail system into the current era and is a lot better, in my opinion. Now that I have done all this re-working, I can make the drafts feature that some of y'all were asking for.

If anybody finds any odd behavior, please let me know!

hmmmm...just went to my mail. Probably just me, but not sure about the auto jump. Had to scroll up to jog my memory on what some mail was about. The spirit is willing...memory short Whistling Whistling

Wow, this is wonderful, Dave! Sue and I get very wordy, and after 300 posts it takes a long time for one of our tree-mail threads to open. Not anymore. They open instantly now. I love this! Thanks.

Oh, I do like the addition of the auto-jump feature! I don't have too many long strings of mail, but some were long enough to make it annoying to have to scroll down. Nice improvements! Thumbs up

Should it obey the preferences set by the user?

I have my preferences set to NOT automatically jump to the new because I forget what a thread is about. So, I use the extra click once I refresh my memory. However, the tree-mail is automatically jumping regardless of my set preferences.

Very cool Dave!!

Can you add the feature we have on the threads "a new post was made while you were replying"??? Happens to me quite often and if you aren't paying attention you can miss something...

Thumbs up I really like this change ... although I don't have any exceptionally long tree mails it's still nice to have it jump to the last reply instead of having to scroll down the page! Thanks Dave!

No, actually I said that I was going to do it. Smiling I'll try to have that part in this morning.

Ok, now it's done. If someone replies to your tree mail while you are typing a reply, it will warn you once you submit your own reply.
