I have been looking for something called Rue Anemone for a long time. . . not sure if it is best to start by seed or division or what?
If anyone has some, I would just love it!

Thanks!
Melanie

Hi Melanie!
Am glad you found us! I am always a bit confused by common names, are you looking for Thalictrum thalictroides?, anemone and anemonella is a large group and people often use interchangeably. I am hoping to have a few of thalictrums this year to give away, gotta see year how things overwintered. Am not sure which ones I will have.

Hi all! Let me know if you need a volunteer to help set up or take down tables. Or anything else along those lines.

So far I'm not sure which plants to bring - I'll keep an eye on what's coming up. I can definitely bring some chives. I'll also be offering a hanging bird feeder, it's metal and glass.

Hi Jasmine,

I updated my post to help keep track of what I'm giving you and others. :-)

My small clump of Spanish moss dried out. I probably didn't water it enough. Bummer.

***OFFERS:***
The numbers refer to the number of plants I'm sure I will have to give away. I don't know the exact number until I dig them out and separate them the day before the swap. So, if you like, you can also add your name (wait listed) in case there are more that I can give away.
1. Peperomia obtusifolia - 9
2. Kalanchoe (red orange flowers) - 3
3. African violet (dark purple flowers) - 8
4. Peace lily - 3

***WISH LIST***
anything mini/miniature/small that can be grown indoors
bromeliad, small
fern, small

Jasmine - I will set aside Peperomia for you since you asked last year.

----
All the plants I got last year are thriving well (THANK YOU!), except for the hen and chicks. They didn't thrive well during the winter months - not a lot of sun on my window stool. Hopefully, the tiny chicks that survived will have enough sunny months this year to grow bigger.

Hi Matriarka!

Is your peperomia obtusifolia the dark green, or variegated?

Here are what the plants look like when they're mature. I'm trimming plants and keeping the tops, so the Kalanchoe and Peperomia I'm giving away are rooted bottoms. They're tall so you can still cut them to pieces for denser growth in pots.

*African violets - the ones I'm giving away
I propagated several May 2018 to give away this year. They're not fully mature/big yet because I grew them crowded in two plastic containers (space constraints). They grow very fast. The one you see on the far right (in pot) is the same age as most of those in the rec containers on the left. Growing by its lonesome in a pot, that 1-YO is currently blooming.

My Peace Lily and African Violet are such strong ladies! I found and bought them one cold winter night at Jewel Osco in 2014. They survived a fairly long wait at the bus stop. Peace Lily even went through a drought (left my plants in someone's care. When I got back, all but a few leaves of the Peace lily remained). It took more than a year for Peace Lily to regain her dense foliage. I have dense growth in two pots that I have to declutter.

Ah, sorry. It's not Jasmine, it's jqsen who asked for Peperomia last year but didn't get whole plants (just leaves). I got the Js mixed up.

That's ok. I have that pepromia I think I got from you. May I have Kalanchoe and african violet please?

How do you propagate them? I kill my violets easily may be because I forget to water them.

I will post my haves later in few days.

Ok, Kalanchoe and African violets noted.

Propagating african violets - i just cut off healthy outer leaves, dip the ends in powdered rooting hormone (if I remember, usually I don't), and stick them in soil. It takes several months before I see new leaves shooting up.

Thank you Matriarka
I would appreciate the peperomia. It was hard to root the leaves and they did not make it.
If you have some of the other plants left, I would love an African violet, Kalanchoe and Peace lily.
