Gonna be beastly for the next week............WE NEED RAIN!!!!!

LOL at your problems, Kathleen. But, in the midst of it, think of our neighbor (the one that rents our cropland) He was chopping 2nd crop hay........managed to run something through the chopper and cleaned out the knives. Gets a new set in, goes out.........runs something else through it, cleans out another set. Back to the dealership, fix everything up again, new set of knives. Oh, says the guy, you need a new wiring harness for the metal detector.......(which must have been an overlooked problem to take out the 2nd set...). New harness will be here Sat. (this is Thursday). Lentz takes it home, goes out to the field thinking "what are my chances on picking up another piece???" Real good..............in short order he took out the 3rd set. He called the custom guy to come and finish. Green Grin! 3 sets of knives in about 3 days.

Yeah, and when you're done with, it send it over here. There was lots of lightning last night, but no rain. I've been watering everyday and that isn't usual at all.

The worms have gotten most of the second cutting, Stan just put the cows on the well piece. I don't know about the farm that we rent. He's got the old pasture piece plowed with only 1 broken hydraulic line, 1 fuel line and a mis-adjustment on the plows. Ain't life grand?

After last year's drought, I'm hanging on to any rain I can get. The folks in Florida would probably be happy to share.

We just had a nice storm go through the Chicago area. That was so needed!! It's still pretty dark outside, but the rain is just a light drizzle right now.

Pasture is dried up, having to feed hay. Just seems to go North, or South of us.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

Same here........we're a mile from the Wis.-Illinois state line, just south of Madison. Seems like anything coming from the west gets to the MIssissippi river, then splits.........half goes north of us, half goes south.

Got a bit of a dust-settler a bit ago. Even came with thunder and lightning. Could have given us a bit more wet tho.
