My pool cage was replaced some years ago following a hurricane and what began as a place to show and hold cold sensitive palms...has grown into a nice display.

Wow, that is way cool...I see you're a bromeliad addict also Big Grin
You have a very nice pool area. I bet it is nice to have a screen enclosure, keeps all the leaf debris out of them.

We had heavy rain last night, here are some wet plants this morning...

I too was thinking how clean and free of debris Waykool plants were. They look great! Thumbs up

Sherri, your plants always look clean, I imagine you outside every morning washing out your broms. Hilarious!

Alice, this is the time of year I do a good cleaning of my bromeliads, the trees are done dropping leaves and fuzzy things now. I do a little bit as time allows, I do use my hose and really wash some out good, keeps them from getting crown rot.
It is good to do this while the spring plant sales are going on...keeps me from buying more Whistling

Hi WayKool - this pool area looks amazing. I am very new to plants but I really want to know what type of palm that is just to the right side of the right chair in the first picture you posted. Also, the spiky palm looks amazing however when I google spiky palm I can't find anything remotely close to that. Thank you for any insight.

Those look like some sharp spines. I just trimmed my ponytail palm, that was enough for me. Whistling

LOL, hurt me to just look at them. Very interesting palms though.

I remember when I had a collection of pointy Dyckias and Hectias and I remember how happy I was to give them away. Shrug!
