Hi guys. I know it's a long shot but figured I'd ask on here if anyone in the Portland area or any surrounding cities knows a good reasonable source to get any kind of Aroid plants such as monsteras, philodendrons, etc. At more of a wholesale price? I'm looking for a source that would sell to the local plant stores. I have gladly supported many of the local Portland plant stores for years now and would be extremely grateful to find someone who gets them on a somewhat regular basis. I doubt anyone will tell their secrets but I'd be super grateful to anyone who could share some info. Please message me if so. Thanks!

Hi Jim,
No, I don't know about wholesale. It seemed to me, all of the houseplant places disappeared about two decades ago and I only recently found Gurton's in Hillsdale. But then, I haven't been looking that hard as my house doesn't have the space for plants. (There's another houseplant place on the east side, forget the name, only remember they want your first born child for a four inch plant.) I would think, if you are ordering in large quantities, any of the stores you have been frequenting would give you some kind of a break.
Even if I did know a wholesaler, you have to have a plant /landscape license to get the wholesale price. Wholesalers get in big trouble with the industry and with their clients selling to the public, few if any of them will do it.
Are you thinking of starting your own store?
