I am used to cutting bloomed out stalks and or snapping seed pods. I have to cut the bloomed out stalks from all the bearded iris and daylilies. Earlier in the year I have to snap off seed pods from many of my daffoldils and you have to cut off the pods forming on tulips too if you want any hope of them coming back. So it is something I am used to doing around here.
