We had talked during the Winter about doing a thread about fragrant peonies. Liz had asked me if Angel Emily was fragrant when the bloom opened up, and it has a nice rose fragrance.

I will start the thread with her. Please still post your blooms on the bloom thread, but if they are fragrant (but not stinky fragrant

) please post a pic here, too.

I'm so glad you started this thread, LG!!! We all need that reminder to stick our noses down in the blooms rather than just pointing the camera at them!

Still carting peonies back and forth for the competition but Ella Christianson was SO FRAGRANT that I had to stop and tell you about it. I'm standing a yard from a single bloom of it and can still smell it!

Do you know where I can purchase this one? I have a friend who lost her granddaughter(Emily) to cancer,
And I would like to gift one to her memory.

Teresa Cole, the only place I've ever seen Angel Emily offered was Solaris Farms and they're either not offering it this year or sold out, sorry. Their online catalog typically opens 1 Jan and the most popular varieties sell out in minutes. So sorry for your friend's loss.

Teresa, in order to get these newer Peonies such as Angel Emily, you have to order as soon as they go
