That rose was in our yard when we moved in. It bloomed beautifully when it bloomed, but it was obviously planted before the previous owners also planted 10 trees in our (already shaded by the neighbors' HUGE ash tree) front yard, and it became steadily more unhappy as the shade grew. I tried transplanting it, but it didn't seem to like that either. Bummer.
