Evelyn, chances are beyond very great that you have the same iris.

Evelyn, I agree with Leslie's definitive answer. Thumbs up The colors and patterns, or lack thereof, can vary widely. I often see streaks of that lighter base color on the falls.

Thanks to all who have served and special remembrances to those who gave all.

Had a very busy Memorial Day week end here. Nice weather, several picnics and babysat the kids' dog. Very little accomplished in the garden though.

Last year while cleaning up after packing some rhizomes to ship, I noticed one that had "escaped." It had no Id written on it, so I just swept it off the porch and wished it well......

Yesterday it said HELLO!

I only have a couple of yellow and white iris in the garden, so I should be able to return it to the correct home plot.

My newest Burseen.
Picked this one up at the club Dig Day last summer and was happy to see it bloom this year.

Kendry Mae Burseen 2010

This is a nice blend of pearl, amber and lavender. The beards , of course, are great!

Just came in from breaking up a fight between two crabby mares, and doing my morning garden check. There were so many to dead head that my hands are all stained purple from the spent blooms and last night's rain. I am a few days behind in keeping up with daily posting, so there are still more to come.

Another Burseen.....I think Leslie already has this one....

Beth's Blessing Burseen 2010
Third year for this one. It has bloomed and increased very nicely each year.
It is a cheerful little iris!

Thanks for the suggestion Jan. That is both pretty and similar to mine. I only grow two iris that are white and yellow like that. So I am almost sure that it is Moon Journey. The other that I have is Tulip Festival, which is a much smaller plant and flower.

Thank you for sharing. I particularly liked that one by Tasco , ( with that very unique veining) from 2011 & 'Bubble Bubble' by Ghio, really shows off some excellent color. I appreciate your inclusion of hybridizer's names, with the Iris. Sorry, it's been so rough, with the "growing seasons" where you are, over these past (three ?) years... That must have really been rather disheartening.

My Dragon King had the very same journey. This is my first year with it living and blooming!

I love love love your Not A Clue. I had Beth's Blessing but it was a rain casualty. It will be back though. Yes, it will!

I ordered Dragon King from Superstition two years ago. They sent me a huge rhizome with lots of
increases:

Thumb of 2019-05-30/AndreaD/912895

It bloomed big and beautiful in 2018:

In 2019 not so much:

Thumb of 2019-05-30/AndreaD/91c5e1

Issues were a severe attack of leaf fungus and being planted between two vigorous irises. I hope I can get it to look like it did in 2018 again.

Thanks everyone!

Evelyn, although it doesn't really show in the picture, this bloom is much smaller than usual. I think some others have also mentioned that they are having many miniature blooms on their Talls. I went through a lines and stripes phase a couple of collecting years age and Dragon King was a necessary acquisition! I like it a lot!

ShawnSteve Thanks! I find it mostly annoying. There are a lot of things that can go wrong when one has a large collection of iris. This group of people has experienced most all of them. We, and the iris bounce back. I guess it is Mother Nature's way of thinning the herd to make space for new ones!

Leslie I can help with that if you would like!

WoW That was a beautiful rhizome AndreaD! I sure hope it recovers for you!

I have found that often the large rhizomes that I have purchased from out west have a difficult time adjusting to cold Pennsylvania weather. If they manage to become established, they do well. If not they turn to mush.

Yes please to Beth's.

I have the same scenerio as you. Survive or mushy rot. Too much humidity for the westerners.
