Seed Starter Vegetable Grower
Today I noticed alot of holes in the coneflower leaves and spotted this insect.

What is it ?

Can I use a spray like Bonide to get rid of them without damaging the coneflower plants?

It looks a lot like beetles. I'd spray in the evening.

I'd use some Garden Safe insect spray or Neem. Insecticidle Soap would work too.

I ended up just spraying with the Bonide and so far none of the other coneflowers are showing leaf damage. Whatever the little bugger is, I hope it doesn't come back.

Maybe that is what is eating holes in one of my rudbeckia plants..Will have to examine the leaves a bit more.
