Is there a brown leaf right in the middle of the fan? Dig it up and see if the roots are all brown and shriveled. Those 2 things to me are definative signs of scorch. Pitch them in the dumpster. My bed looks awful this year with leaf spot as I have ignored it all summer. but I started cleaning it up and have not seen one case of scorch. I know leaf spot is not rapidly fatal but scorch is.
