Every time you post a new batch of photos, I say WOW! I just said it again with these beauties. I don't remember seeing a double daylily, and yours is a real show stopper. If you ever divide it, remember me, ok?

I'm glad you left your grumbles in the garden. Hope they don't grow.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Kwanzo is that orange daylily. I might be spelling that wrong.
It goes in the box with your red one. . .
Next time it rains. The ground is baked solid right now.

Thanks Margaret,
Occasionally I get a grouping that looks like I planned the arrangement, that's what it looks like right now, as the sun starts lowering.

And this reminds me of an Oriental cut flower design.

Of course I take no credit for the arrangements, but I sure can enjoy them.

Beautiful blooms Sharon Thumbs up

Yesterday, I stuck my nose in one of my daylilies and it was so fragrant. I can't put a name to the fragrance but it took me back to many years ago. Fragrances can do that, huh? I need to look at the tag and see which one it was. In all the years I've done daylily details even at Dave and Trish's other garden and before Dave automated it here, whenever I would check the box on fragrance, I would think -Pfft - I've never had a fragrant daylily. This one was. Lovey dubby It was a nice surprise Green Grin!

The old ones, mostly what I have, are not sweetly fragrant; maybe the newer ones are. But the old ones have a very distinct fragrance, yes, a lot like lavender and lilacs make us remember our grandmothers.

The ditchlilies have a very distinct scent and taste.
They should though. Ditchlilies and the lemon lilies are what started them all. Grandmothers of all daylilies. Smiling
