We have 4 birds that have been identified as bee martins hanging around the bee hives.
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of them?

Margaret, I haven't heard the name before.
Searching the net, is it a species of kingbird, a tyrant flycatcher?

I have no idea. It's just what they call it around this area. I am assuming it is related to the purple Martin. I asked my husband for a picture but he said his eyes aren't good enough to take one since they are high up in a tree. I believe they are gone now he's not complained about them for awhile.

The only martins in our area are purple martins. A picture would help. I am unaware of serious bird predation on honeybees from any bird species we get though.
Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.

Thank you for your comment UrbanWild.
No picture because my husband said he can't see well enough to get one of them. But he does know purple marens and they aren't those.
Hopefully they won't be back this year.
